We spend five days exploring Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, as well as neighboring jewels like Siena, San Gimignano, and others. We then are whisked by private transfer to a luxury villa offering the most breathtaking views of Lake Como, from where we can explore Bellagio, Varenna, and the entire Italian Lakes Region.
We have worked out all the logistics to seamlessly enjoy both destinations and all they offer. And, as with all our voyages, we are with you each step to attend to every detail and provide advice and make concierge arrangements, but ensuring you have the space to make the experience truly yours.
Florence and Tuscany
September 11-16, 2024
We spend five nights in a luxury four-star hotel in the heart of Florence's pedestrian district, within easy walking distance of everything, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Pizza della Signoria, the Uffizi, Academia, etc., etc. A private walking tour of Florence will acquaint us with the key sights. We have arranged a private day trip to beautiful Siena and San Gimignano, as well as a Tuscan pizza and gelato cooking class. Our visit offers you ample time to explore Florence and its museums and to take additional day trips to nearby Pisa, Lucca and other towns. Enjoy these visits with your fellow travelers or explore on your own. We will tailor your experience to your wishes, and steer you to dining options sure to appeal.
Lake Como
September 16-20, 2024
We bid arrividerci to Florence and by private transportation venture to magical Lake Como. The heart of the Italian Lakes Region, Lake Como has drawn celebrities and visitors searching for beauty, history, culture, cuisine, and limitless recreational opportunities. Our home is a stunning villa designed by a noted Italian architect, set on a hill minutes from Bellagio (the heart of Lake Como) and offering perhaps the most dramatic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains, In addition to multiple terraces from which these majestic views can be admired day and night, the villa offers an infinity pool, sauna, hot tub and several acres of private forest. We have arranged a Lake Como welcome dinner at the villa by a gourmet chef. A charming village is a short walk away and we will have private transportation to take you to nearby Bellagio and other towns around the lake.
Opportunities to explore are many. Enjoy the commanding views from your terrace with your morning coffee or afternoon aperitivo, then set out on your own adventure. Scenic ferries connect all parts of the lake. Visit the famous Villa Carlotta, Villa d'Este, and Villa del Balbianello. Stroll the quaint streets of the towns surrounding the lakes. Enjoy local delicacies. We can arrange boat tours and other excursions, and have inside info on restaurants long on prime cuisine and short of tourist traps. Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda also are within easy reach.
At the end of our stay, private transportation will deliver us to Milan's Malpensa airport for the voyage back. Of course, if you wish to extend your stay, we gladly will help you make those arrangements.

What Is Not Included
• Air fare from US to Italy, but we will identify suggested flights and we will be delighted to help find options most suited to your preferences, frequent flier programs, etc. We depart from the United States on September 10. Transatlantic flights arrive the next day.

Cost
• $7,250/person (double occupancy). (Please contact us for single occupancy pricing.)
• 50% due at booking; Remaining 50% due by March 1, 2024.
• Given our non-refundable commitments to our local travel partners, $3,000 of the deposit must be non-refundable. The remaining payments are non-refundable after March 1, 2024.
Travel Schedule
Plan to arrive in Florence (airport code FLR) on the morning of September 11, 2024. You can book your return air travel from Milan (MXP) on the afternoon of September 20, 2024.
Travel Insurance
