Let us show you two of the world's most spectacular destinations. From the serenity, mountain splendor, and quintessential Swiss charm of Grindelwald at the foot of the majestic and historic Eiger, to the nearly indescribable beauty of Santorini, we experience two distinct countries, cultures and cuisines. This quickly became our favorite combination trip. Both places are the rareties where the reality beats any postcard.
We have worked out all the logistics to seamlessly reach both destinations and offer limitless opportunities to explore each. And, as with all our voyages, we are with you each step to attend to every detail and provide advice and make concierge arrangements, but ensuring you have the space to make the experience truly yours.
Grindelwald, Jewel of the Alps
September 11-15
Arriving in Zurich, we are whisked by private transport to Grindelwald, the storybook Swiss town. We spend four nights here in luxury, stylish accommodations with spectacular views of the Eiger. A welcome dinner prepared just for us by a private chef is a fitting way to begin the experience. Start the day with coffee and breakfast on the large veranda overlooking the Alps. Options to explore are many and varied. Ride the cable cars or trains that, with Swiss precision, link Grindelwald with neighboring towns and the Lauterbrunnen Valley with its 72 waterfalls. Choose hikes ranging from easy short walks to epic traverses, and everything in between, including gorgeous alpine lakes. Descend the mountain right by us via an exhilarating zipline, go-kart and scooter. Visit the thundering Trummelbach Falls, a series of 10 waterfalls carving through a cave. Take a spectacular train ride to the highest railway station in Europe at Jungfraujoch, a UNESCO World Heritage site appropriately called Top of Europe, surrounded by glaciers at your feet and 4,000-meter peaks all around you. Pump the adrenaline on a toboggan. We will help you decide what activities suit you best, and where to best experience the Swiss cuisine each evening.
Our home in Grindelwald are its two most luxurious and stylish apartments, one with four bedrooms and the other with three. Each with a sauna, top quality furnishings and a spectacular veranda, they offer ample space to relax, plan and relive each day's adventures, in the highest level of Swiss alpine hospitality.
Santorini -- Discovering Atlantis
September 15-19
Private transportation takes us back to Zurich for the flight to Santorini, where we are quickly delivered to our luxury hotel with a view of the Caldera that you will never forget. We spend four nights on this enchanted island. Unlike cruise ship passengers who only visit for a few hours, we have the time to experience the true Santorini magic. Wake and enjoy a bountiful breakfast with the Caldera, the Aegean Sea, and neighboring islands at your feet. Hike along the spectacular ridge to the town of Oia, explore the entire island on an ATV, visit the shops of Fira and Oia, make the short hike to Skaros Rock and the beautiful little church perched almost impossibly on its far side above the Caldera, visit the archeological wonder of Akrotiri, spend a day at beach, greet a sunrise, and enjoy each sunset that only Santorini provides from the comfort and serenity of our terrace.
One afternoon and evening is devoted to a sunset sail cruise. We will sail on a spacious, private catamaran through the Caldera with stops for swimming at Red Beach, White Beach, and the hot springs near the volcanic island in the Caldera, we will be served a Greek dinner on board, and then watch the sunset by Oia.
Zurich -- A Fondue Sendoff
September 19-20
We bid farewell to Santorini, but one treat remains -- Zurich, Switzerland's sophisticated but quaint gateway. Our hotel is in the heart of Zurich's intimate Old Town. It also is home to the city's foremost fondue restaurant, where we will host our farewell dinner.

What Is Not Included
• Air fare from US to Zurich, but we will identify suggested flights and we will be delighted to help find options most suited to your preferences, frequent flier programs, etc. We depart from the United States on September 10. Transatlantic flights arrive the next day.
• Meals other than welcome dinner, sunset cruise dinner, farewell dinner, and breakfasts in Santorini and Zurich.
Cost
• $6,450/person (double occupancy). $300 early booking discount until September 30, 2022.
• 50% due at booking; Remaining 50% due by March 1, 2023
• Given our non-refundable commitments for the Zurich-Santorini-Zurich airfare and other providers, $1,000 of deposit must be non-refundable. The remaining payments are non-refundable after March 1, 2023
When will we return to the U.S.?
You can book your return flight from Zurich on September 20. Alternatively, if you wish to extend your trip, we will gladly help you with ideas and arrangements.
